Wisconsin was awarded $7.9 billion in stimulus dollars when the state faced a $6 billion deficit. Over $5 billion went straight into people’s pockets through tax cuts and direct payments. Another $2.9 billion protected community services and infrastructure, opened opportunities for businesses, students and new technology, while jumpstarting work on freeways, roads, airports and mass transit. This section shows where funds were delivered and how Recovery Act aid has made a difference in the business world, the public sector and the lives of men, women and children across the state.

WisRecovers offers more than one way to look at how Wisconsin aid was distributed and used.
